This 6 foot tall curricular pillar is built with granite and goshen stone to celebrate the Brattleboro’s Retreats 130-year commitment to innovative mental health care and to honor the courage of its patients.
The original Retreat Tower is a 67 feet tall Gothic-style stone tower built by the patients from ledge harvested just below the site and from the Retreat Quarry on West Dummerston Road.
