Eileen’s Memorial Wall OLD

This 100′ long, 11′ tall memorial retaining wall will forever hold a place in time for a love that was shared here on Freds Farm in Newafne VT. This re-build using large Barre granite blocks and the recycled wall stone from the previous failing wall persevered his wife’s favorite space on their property. This commission introduced me to the permanence of a stone memorial and its relation to human connection to the land.
